BAMBOO HEAT TREATING FIXTURES

Get straighter strips out of the oven!

These fixtures provide an easy way to bind your strips for heat treating.  The fixtures are 6 feet long to allow for treating a typical half culm.  (If your oven will not handle 6 feet lengths we can cut them to your desired length at no extra charge).  The rigidity of the fixtures keeps your strips straight during heat treating and results in straighter strips and straighter rod sections.  The fixtures have air channels machined into the top and bottom of each channel to allow for complete and even heat treating of every strip. 

Directions for use:

Perform all node work and preliminary straightening

Rough mill the untapered strips no smaller than .187"

Bind the strips into the fixtures using binding thread or for even better results our heat shrink tape.

Follow you normal heat treating cycle.

Unbind your heat treated strips and enjoy the added straightness while final planing.
